Ok folks I have been away from Podomatic for some time.
Mobtown Ska Sounds is no longer on this website.
To listen, subscribe, download, stream new episodes of Mobtown Ska Sounds go here.
Also I am doing a weekly internet radio show on Real Punk Radio.
Every Sunday one show played two times 5am-6am and 5pm-6pm EST.
My shows are just like my podcasts I play Jamaican music, soul music, modern reggae/ska, etc.
Listen to the show here
If you need to reach me email me here
Also if you make paypal donations to the show it will not allow you to access past episodes. I left podomatic because I cannot afford to pay for the bandwidth. Podcasting is a part time thing I do for fun. I have found a new way to do this without having to pay a monthly fee. I have people emailing requesting old shows. I am sorry I don't have all of my past shows archived. Also I may not have the time to send you the show right away.
Thanks for everyone for supporting this podcast and all this great music.

This is my first Wailer podcast.
This collection focuses on the early recording career of Bob Marley and the Wailers. Many of the tracks have been pulled from early Wailers collections that can be found easily on compilations on Heartbeat, Soul Jazz, and Trojan Records.
I also included a number of other musicians that used the Wailers to back them on various tracks.
Enjoy the music... BB

MSS 60 - More Kingstonians
December 16, 2008 07:37 PM PST
Presenting the second part of the Kingstonians mix compiled by Rice N Peas.
It is a split in two parts because I could not fit the whole mix on one show.
And some more words from Toby about the mix...
"Starting with track 25, they are solo Jackie Bernard tunes, not credited to the Kingstonians as a group. There were several tunes that didn't make it on here, but I wanted to keep the mix downloadable to one cd. Some wicked shit like So Divine, Jah Children, Winey Winey, Slim Girl, I A No Want Stall, Magic Finger, Idrin & King, Torture & Flames, and several others were omitted for this reason (I know I know)."

MSS 59 - Kingstonians Mix Part 1
December 11, 2008 08:47 PM PST
Guest Mix by Rice N Peas
My buddy from Soundclash, Rice N Peas (aka Toby) has made this great mix of songs from the Kingstonians. I have been on Toby's case for the past few months to compile a guest podcast. He has been kind enough to oblige me with this boss selections of tunes.
This is only Part 1 expect the second part to be up in a few days with 14 more killers.
Before I list the music Toby had a few things to mention about the mix...
"I don't have all these 45s, but had a lot of help with some other collectors, so I'd like to mention and thank them for their contributions and support. They are Ska Nick, Ash, Hans, Kaiser, Richie, and Bobby Babylon
Also, it's worth mentioning that these tunes are culled from various sources, so sound quality varies, but I tried to level things out as best I could. Also, I listed the JA label issue in most cases here, but many of them came on UK presses (and in a few cases, also were included on the Sufferer LP.) "

I am Bobby Babylon. The Host of Mobtown Ska Sounds. Mobtown Ska Sounds began in 2003 at WMBC a college radio station. Rudy Rudell and myself started a show that mixed Jamaican ska and reggae we love as well as playing the modern sounds of the day. We did the show for a couple years. I am just starting up MSS for the second time in 2006. Eventually I hope to include interviews, exclusive music, giveaways, etc. For requests or comments on the podcast please email me email@example.com I was the first one to start a ska show on podomatic. To see some of the other great ska/reggae podcasts check out my fans and friends listings on the side. Also bands/labels/music people I am always in search and need of new music. I buy tons of old school ska reggae. If you are in a group that is influenced heavily by Jamaican music send me an email. I'd love to work out playing a couple tracks off your cd or send me a couple mp3's.
